Joel Christian Gill is a cartoonist and Associate Professor of Illustration at Massachusetts College of Art and Design who speaks nationally on the importance of sharing stories. He wrote the words and drew the pictures in the award winning series Strange Fruit and Tales of The Talented Tenth (Fulcrum books). His latest work is a memoir chronicling how children deal with abuse and trauma: Fights: One Boy’s Triumph Over Violence (Oni Press January 2020.) He is currently adapting the 2016 National Book Award-winning Stamped from the Beginning a Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America by Prof. Ibram X Kendi into a graphic novel from Ten Speed Press.

Carolita Johnson has been contributing cartoons to The New Yorker since 2003, writing illustrated essays for, and recently was a writer-in-residence at SUNY-New Paltz.

Sanika Phawde is an illustrator, cartoonist and reportage artist working between New York City and Mumbai, currently pursuing a Masters degree in Illustration as Visual Essay at School of Visual Arts, New York. Sanika’s work explores everyday life, interpersonal relationships, instances of emotional connection between strangers, and the conversations people have over food. Sanika is also very interested in the diversity of food in New York, and how food experiences in the city are influenced by seasons, pop culture, immigration and gentrification.

Brian Michael Weaver is the totally tubular illustrator of such groovy graphic novels as the Joey Fly, Private Eye series, and writer of the mondo bodacious picture book Do NOT Build a Frankenstein! His most recent picture books, Flip & Fin: We Rule the School, and Flip & Fin: Super Sharks to the Rescue, are, like, in stores now. He’s also known for illustrating Highlight’s Magazines radically awesome-licious Hidden Pictures and magazine covers! You should totally scope out his work over at FAR OUT!

Bianca Xunise is an illustrator and cartoonist based out of Chicago, Illinois. Her work primarily focuses on the plight and daily struggles of being a young black weirdo in America. When she’s not doodling away Bianca is usually somewhere dreaming of the mothman, while listening to only the spookiest goth music you could ever imagine.

R. Sikoryak’s new book is Constitution Illustrated, published by Drawn & Quarterly.  His other books include The Unquotable Trump, Terms and Conditions, and Masterpiece Comics.
