“Comics: Pushing the Boundaries,” April 23, 2016

comics-pushing the boundaries promo

A panel discussion at The Society of Illustrators on Sat., April 23, 2016 at 1 pm.

With the Zap Comix retrospective on display at the Society, this is a perfect time to take a look at how comics artists push the boundaries of taste and subject matter. We’ve gathered a panel of cartoonists and illustrators of diverse backgrounds and interests to discuss provocation and controversy in comics, in history and in contemporary works. There’s been an evolution in the kinds of comics that are being created that will make for a fascinating conversation.
